Teaching of Korean language starts at BEU

According to the cooperation agreement signed between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and the Korea Foundation in March this year, Korean language is taught at the University. Mr. Ho Choi, a citizen of the Republic of Korea who came to Azerbaijan for this purpose, teaches Korean language to teachers and students of the Education Faculty of BEU as a visiting professor with the support of the Korea Foundation.

The main purpose of the agreement signed between BEU and the Foundation is to promote the Korean language, culture and research in Azerbaijan.

The project director of the Visiting Professor Program at BEU is Atraba Gul, Head of the Foreign Languages Department of the University.

The Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting Korean research worldwide. Within the framework of the project, visiting professors and teachers are sent to the universities cooperating with the Foundation within 1 year.

It should be noted that BEU has close cooperation with South Korea in the field of education. The dual degree program in engineering at the undergraduate level between BEU and INHA University of South Korea has been successfully implemented since the 2020/2021 academic year. Tuition fees, registration costs, access to teaching materials and electronic information resources, 1-year education and 3-week summer school in South Korea are covered by the 2019-2023 State Program.
