A presentation on artistic and sports activities has been held for newly admitted students at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Delivering  an opening speech, Ali Huseynov, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), emphasized that such events serve to strengthen the creative environment at the university. He spoke about the importance of being active in the social, cultural and sports directions of the university, calling on students to demonstrate their skills in these areas.

Zamina Akhundova, Head of the Department of Creative Arts at BEU, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, wished first-year students success in their studies. Providing information about the activities of the department, projects aimed at developing students' creative abilities and the successes achieved by the team, Z. Akhundova noted that involving young people in artistic and sports activities significantly contributes to their personal development, revealing their creative potential, developing the ability to work in a team and adapting to university life more quickly. She invited new students to join various artistic groups of the university - dance, music, theater and poetry groups.

The presentation also talked about the activities of the BEU Sports Club. It was noted that the university created ample conditions to increase students' interest in various sports. BEU students successfully perform both in intra-university competitions and in republican-level tournaments.

During the question-and-answer session of the event, students' opinions were listened to, and those who actively participated were awarded certificates of appreciation by the Sports Committee.

At the end, an artistic program prepared with the participation of students was presented.
