Application Procedure
International applicants wishing to study at Baku Engineering University (BEU) must register on the portal.edu.az website and upload all required documents to the portal. The system allows applicants to monitor the status of their application in real time, ensuring a transparent and efficient process.
List of Required Documents
To complete the application process, the following documents must be submitted:
- A completed application form;
- A notarized copy (or copies) of the duly legalized (or apostilled) educational documents, including transcripts showing subjects studied at previous levels and the grades received. These documents must be accompanied by an official translation into Azerbaijani;
- A health certificate, including confirmation of not being a carrier of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C viruses;
- A valid border crossing document (e.g., passport);
- One recent passport-size photo (3x4 cm);
- A language proficiency certificate (if available)*;
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume;
- A Motivation Letter, outlining your goals and reasons for applying to BEU;
- Copies of any honorary awards, certificates, diplomas, or similar achievements (if applicable).
Admission Requirements
The educational institution will assess the applicant’s academic preparedness for the chosen level of study, as well as their proficiency in the language of instruction. Applicants who meet the university's academic and language requirements will have their admission formalized.
Applicants applying for English-taught programs are exempt from language proficiency tests if they can provide valid scores from recognized international English language examinations:
- Undergraduate programs: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL 40;
- Graduate programs: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 50.
If you do not meet these requirements, you may be asked to undergo a language proficiency evaluation organized by the university.
Submission of Documents
Once the admission process is completed, all required hard-copy documents must be submitted to the International Cooperation and Project Management Department at BEU.
