UN official: “I was impressed by the talented young inventors I met at BEU”

Professor Habip Asan, Director of the Transition and Developing Countries Department of the Regional and National Development Sector of the UN World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), has sent a letter of gratitude to the leadership of Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Expressing his satisfaction with participating in the meetings and discussions held at BMU last week, organized by the Azerbaijan Intellectual Property Agency, familiarizing with the modern laboratories and Technopark of the higher education institution, as well as with the hospitality shown, Habip Asan noted that the academic environment of the university and the innovative approaches of the students made a positive impression on him.

“I was particularly impressed by the talented young inventors I met. The enthusiasm, creativity and business spirit of the students indicate that universities play a key role in training the next generation of innovators. "I am confident that Baku Engineering University will continue its commendable work in nurturing bright minds, promoting knowledge transfer in Azerbaijan and beyond, and ultimately contributing to sustainable development," the UN official stressed in his letter. Habip Asan further expressed WIPO's readiness to support BEU's initiatives through close cooperation with the Azerbaijan Intellectual Property Agency, as well as his confidence in the continuation of a constructive dialogue with the university..
