Chair of the Women's Council of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Atraba Gul has taken part in the event "Sun rising on the horizon of eternity" dedicated to the 650th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadeddin Nasimi. The literary-artistic event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Sabail district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party and the Sabail district organization of "Azerbaijan Women's Republican Society" Public Union.  

First, the participants got acquainted with the book exhibition dedicated to Nasimi in the lobby of the International Mugam Center.

The uniqueness of Nasimi's poetry and the importance of the events held within the "Year of Nasimi" were discussed at the event. It was noted that the declaration of 2019 as the "Year of Nasimi" in our country by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev was a clear example of the high state care for Nasimi's work, Azerbaijani culture, poetry and art in general, which was based on the rich cultural and spiritual wealth of the East and created extremely valuable pearls of art. It was also noted that the topics touched upon by the poet and thinker Nasimi, who left his mark on the history of philosophical thought with his poems, are still relevant for society today.

People's and honored artists of our Republic, prominent artists, masters of reading made speeches in the artistic part of the event.

At the end, the participants of the official and artistic part of the event were awarded honorary diplomas.
