Baku Engineering University (BEU) is implementing consistent measures to increase energy efficiency and ensure environmental sustainability. Within this framework, solar-powered light poles have been installed on the university campus.
As a result of the project's implementation, significant contributions have been made not only to electricity savings but also to the reduction of carbon emissions and the preservation of an environmentally clean environment.
This initiative implemented at BEU is in direct alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 7 (affordable and clean energy - expansion of renewable energy sources), Goal 11 (sustainable cities and communities - promotion of environmentally sustainable and safe living environments), and Goal 13 (climate action - mitigation of climate change impacts and preservation of ecological balance).
The expansion of such projects aimed at energy efficiency and environmental protection at the university will continue in the future. The objective is to foster a culture of environmental responsibility on campus and create a teaching and living environment for students based on sustainable development principles.
