BEU Students Informed About Scholarship IT Programs

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has organized a seminar titled "Programming in the AI Era" and an information session about scholarship information technology (IT) programs conducted by "Holberton School Azerbaijan," sponsored by "PASHA Holding" and supported by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

Initially, Vagif Gasimov, Dean of BEU's Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies, and Gulchohra Ibrahimova, Director of the Enterprise Relations and Career Center, delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of modern technology fields. It was noted that meetings with specialists are of particular significance in terms of providing students with practical skills and preparing them for the future labor market.

Subsequently, Shamsi Bayramzade, Director of "Holberton School Azerbaijan," provided information about the international education network. He noted that "Holberton School" is an international technology school based on the methodology established in the United States, operates in various countries around the world, provides students with modern knowledge and skills, and creates global certification and career opportunities. He also stated that the 100% scholarship IT programs implemented by "Holberton School Azerbaijan" represent a unique opportunity for those wishing to develop themselves.

During the continuation of the seminar, the company's mentor Ruslan Hamidov delivered a presentation titled "How Does Artificial Intelligence Change Programming?" The presentation provided a detailed explanation of the future of programming, the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on this field, and the new skills required in the modern labor market. Analyses conducted on the impact of artificial intelligence on workplaces and how programming professions will be shaped in the future were brought to attention. R. Hamidov also discussed Holberton's features, the opportunities it creates, and the scholarship programs announced for students, stating that students can receive education in "Computer Science (Web Development)," "Machine Learning," "Full Stack Web Development," and "Cybersecurity" fields within the framework of these programs.

During the event, participants also became familiar with registration procedures for the program, the examination process, and selection criteria. Registration is conducted at https://holbertonschool.az/ and the deadline has been set for October 29.

At the end of the seminar, students' questions were answered.
