Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Yagub Piriyev has met with the management of AZROKSAN, the representative of the Turkish rocket manufacturer ROKETSAN in Azerbaijan.

Providing detailed information about the company he represented, Mehmet Ali Tahancalıo noted that AZROKSAN operates as the representative of the Turkish rocket manufacturer ROKETSAN in Azerbaijan. Highlighting the goals of AZROKSAN, which was jointly established by ROKETSAN and STP, the guest emphasized that the company is working to produce and design products for the defense industry, as well as to sell them. He also spoke about the need for skilled engineers for this purpose, the importance of cooperation with BEU, and the possibility of creating internship opportunities for students studying in the fields of mechanical, electrical and electronics, and chemical engineering in the company, as well as in prestigious enterprises in Türkiye.

During the meeting, Rector Yagub Piriyev provided the guests with extensive information about BEU, including the university's current capabilities, research potential, and dual degree programs with universities in South Korea and China. Emphasizing the importance of university-industry cooperation, the rector drew attention to the relations established with influential companies in Türkiye, including "Bayraktar Technologies Azerbaycan", and the recently signed agreement. Yagub Piriyev spoke in detail about the innovations planned at the university, as well as the successful startup projects of BEU students, pointing out the possible areas of cooperation.

STP Group of Companies official Nigar Bayramova provided information about the “Power of Tomorrow” Development Program at the meeting. It was noted that the program was created to enhance the professional development of young people studying engineering in the direction of industrial engineering.

The meeting, which continued with discussions, considered the issue of signing a cooperation agreement between BEU and “AZROKSAN” in the near future.

At the end, the guests got acquainted with BEU laboratories and Technopark.
