Winners of "CyberCell Hackathon" Organized by BEU and "Azercell" Awarded

The "CyberCell Hackathon 2025" organized jointly by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and "Azercell Telekom" LLC has concluded.

Applications were received from more than 100 teams from higher education institutions across the country, with a total of over 300 young people participating. Of these, 25 teams earned the right to present their ideas and technological solutions in the final stage. In the finals, participants showcased their projects in the fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and innovative technologies. Following the evaluation by the jury, the teams that scored the highest points were declared winners.

The "Cybergillər" team took first place, "{{ 7* 7 }}" took second place, and the "Oxrmrf" team took third place.        

At the closing ceremony of the event, BMU's Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Agasi Malikov, delivered a speech noting that the competition played an important role in developing students' knowledge and skills, as well as strengthening university-company cooperation. The Vice-Rector congratulated the winning teams and participants, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

Subsequently, Dilara Huseynova, Director of the Human Capital Management Department of "Azercell Telekom," and Fuad Safarov, Director of the Security Department, delivered closing remarks. They stated that the attention given to the development of young people is one of the directions of the company's social responsibility strategy. Additionally, the energy and potential of the students participating in the competition were highly praised, and the importance of skilled young people in modern technological fields for all organizations was emphasized.   

Following the speeches, the winners of the competition were awarded. The first-place winner received a cash prize of 4,000 manats, the second-place winner received 3,000 manats, and the third-place team was awarded 2,000 manats.
