Lecture on activities of KOICA organized at BEU

A lecture on the activities and role of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Azerbaijan has been organized at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Director of KOICA Azerbaijan Office Jong Hyun Moon informed the participants about the innovative projects implemented by the organization in our country. He spoke about the work done under BEU-INHA dual degree program and highly appreciated the achievements in this direction. In his speech, Jong Hyun Moon noted the experience and opportunities of KOICA, the projects it implements, the prospects for future cooperation with BEU, as well as the possibility of staff and experience exchange. 

The lecture was attended by students of Khirdalan Sejong Institute, as well as teachers and students of BEU. Lottery numbers were presented to the participants of the event, and at the end, the numbers of 30 participants were selected and the winners were announced. The winners were awarded souvenirs dedicated to Korea.

The event ended with the presentation of Korean national cuisine to the lecturers.

The main purpose of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is to increase the role of Korea's grant aid programs in grants and technical cooperation programs in developing countries. The main activity areas of the organization, founded in 1991, are education, health, public administration, agriculture and fisheries, industry and energy. The organization has offices in 44 partner countries. The agency's representative office in our country has been operating since 2009.
