The number of publications of Baku Engineering University (BEU) employees in impact factor journals is growing every year. At present, according to the average number of references of university employees' Web Of Science impact factor publications, Azerbaijan is in the top ten among higher education institutions, and in the top three in the social sciences.

During the 3 years of its existence, the University published a total of 56 publications and 57 references on the Web of Science platform, including 8 in 2017, 18 in 2018 and 30 in the first 6 months of 2019. Moreover, BEU has ranked third in Azerbaijan in the number of citations to articles published in recent years.

About 10 articles by the University staff were published in the most popular journals such as Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews (Web Of Science Impact Factor 11.239), Journal of Molecular Liquids IF 4.561, Environmental Science And Pollution Research IF 3.208, Applied Mathematical Modeling 3.112.

Another positive point is that the number of BEU employees who received awards for scientific publications in 2017 was 7, in 2019 this figure increased to 30, and most of them are young researchers.

Scientific activity is integrated with the educational process at BEU, fundamental, theoretical-methodological, pedagogical-methodical and applied researches on various fields and directions of science are carried out on the basis of faculties, departments, laboratories and other scientific structures. In recent years, the University has held 7 international conferences and their publications have been posted on the university's website. It should be noted that the 13th International Conference on Thermal Engineering, which is included in the Scopus and Web of Science platforms, will be held on June 10-12, 2020 at BEU  in collaboration with Ryerson University of Canada (https://www.ictea.ca/) .

In addition to the above, monthly scientific seminars and scientific discussions are regularly held in all faculties. In 2017-2019, more than 50 such scientific events were held.

It should be noted that about 10 BEU employees are members of the editorial staff of more than 20 scientific journals with a high impact factor and are reviewers of articles published in these journals.
