The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Baku Engineering University(BEU) has hosted “Finance Day-2019” event to evaluate the progress of the previous semester.

Opening the event, the Head of the Finance Department, Ph.D. in Economics Fuzuli Aliyev noted that academic and social achievements of students of Finance Department were always at the center of our attention. He talked about high education and career achievements of students and alumni, and emphasized that he was proud of them.

Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs at BEU, assoc.prof. Elchin Suleymanov pointed out that Finance Department was a special place at the University. He stressed that BEU alumni worked in the most prestigious companies in our country. The Vice-Rector made recommendations to students on pursuing an academic career, and  spoke about the opportunities created in the country.

 Mayis Azizov, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, brought the importance of such events, as well as significance of evaluating students' semester activities to the attention of the participants. Moreover, he advised students to be active in social activities.  

According to semesterly point average, first three students of spring semester of the academic year 2018/2019 were announced, and the students who held first place were awarded. 4th year student of Finance Department Kamala Guluzada was top scoring student in the Department with high-98.83 GPA. Students who won the first place were awarded presents and certificates.    

Later, F.Aliyev pointed out that along with the assessment of teachers and students' knowledge, students had an opportunity to evaluate teachers with questionnaire. According to the results of the questionnaire of the academic year 2018/2019 school year, three lecturers with the best results were announced and Aybaniz Heydarova, who took the first place, was awarded.

Speaking at the event, 4th year student of the Department Isa Zeynal gave information about data analytics, startups and student entrepreneurship.
