EU expert on Erasmus + KA2 projects Elen Enciso, head of the National Erasmus + Office in Azerbaijan Parviz Bagirov and employee of the office Zafar Hasanov have visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).

    The guests first met with the Rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov. The rector informed the guests about the history of the University and its material and technical base, as well as the existing faculties. Speaking about international relations, H.Mammadov noted the programs and projects in which the university participated. He also highly appreciated the active participation of teachers and students in various international projects.

   Ellen Enciso thanked the University administration for the warm welcome and informed about the purpose of the visit. She said that the European Union was interested in supporting the active participation of Eastern Partnership universities in international projects, developing cooperation with partner universities in Europe and working to address the challenges.

  Then, a meeting was held with the Azerbaijani partners of the Erasmus + KA2 project on "Crisis and Risk Engineering for Transport Services (CRENG)" with the participation of BMU as a partner. The event was attended by faculty of the university, as well as employees of the Azerbaijan Technical University and the University of Technology of Azerbaijan.

  The meeting discussed the progress of the current project, the works done and the tasks ahead.

  Later, the guests got acquainted with the BEU campus, Technopark and laboratories of the University.

  It should be noted that among the various international programs in which BEU is actively involved, the majority are EU-funded Erasmus + KA2 projects. Currently, 5 active Erasmus + KA2 projects are being implemented at the university.
