Communication systems engineering is one of the new specialties that will be taught at the undergraduate level at Baku Engineering University (BEU) starting from the 2023/2024 academic year. The training of engineers in this field at the university will be carried out at the Faculty of Architecture and Construction.

The scope of work and career opportunities for engineers who possess this qualification, which is highly needed in many fields today, is very wide. Thus, young specialists who graduate from communication systems engineering get the opportunity to work in state institutions operating in the field of oil and gas, as well as in foreign companies engaged in the construction and operation of pipelines, in international main gas pipeline operation departments. There is always a serious demand for these personnel in state institutions dealing with ecology and environment protection, project institutes dealing with the design and installation of ventilation and air conditioning systems, local and foreign companies, and institutions dealing with the construction and operation of heating and electric centers.

Communication systems engineers, as well as in scientific research centers dealing with microclimate systems and gas problems, relevant state institutions, their city and district water supply departments, domestic and foreign organizations dealing with water basin protection, exploitation and other environmental issues, industry and they can work in the construction of civil buildings, in various research and design institutes.

It should be noted that a total of 1,308 planned places have been allocated for 30 majors at the bachelor's level of BMU (795 places are in the Azerbaijani department, and 513 places are in the English department).
