A meeting with representatives of "Plagiat.pl" company has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Vice-rector for science and innovation issues of the university Agasi Malikov noted the important measures taken in the direction of combating plagiarism in our country. Moreover, he emphasized the importance of checking scientific works, textbooks, and monographs in terms of plagiarism in educational institutions and always keeping in mind the fight against plagiarism. Touching upon the main goals of the fight against plagiarism, the vice-rector added to his thoughts issues such as achieving an increase in professionalism in teaching materials, writing scientific articles, and strengthening joint work between teachers and students.

Agasi Malikov said that it is possible to check the similarity of theses, master's and doctoral dissertations, teaching materials, articles and monographs through the program within the framework of cooperation with the "Plagiat.pl" company.

Ali Tahmezov, executive director of "Plagiat.pl" said that the company, which started operating in Poland in 2002, fights copyright violations and unauthorized use of intellectual property and provides programs to customers in various countries. A. Tahmazov also gave detailed information about the World Anti-Plagiarism Network (strikeplagiarism.com)  which serves to protect research works from plagiarism. Talking about the work done to prevent any transfers from being evaded from the system, the company official mentioned issues such as the procedures for checking and evaluating plagiarism of all types of research, and the code of academic integrity.

Furthermore, the rules of application of the anti-plagiarism program, the working mechanism were discussed in detail, and the questions asked during the discussions were clarified at the event.
