Josh Jose Ceciliano Salazar is from Latin America, the Republic of Costa Rica. He is studying Mechanical Engineering at Baku Engineering University (BEU). He noted that he chose BEU because of the emphasis on studying in English, studying in an international student environment, and teacher-student communication. He emphasized, “This was very important for me, because it helps me develop my communication skills in English and helps me better prepare for working in an international environment in the future. I must especially mention the pleasant atmosphere of the university. The teachers and administrative staff are always ready to help us, supporting us even in the smallest matters. This is invaluable for me as someone who has entered a new environment.”

The Costa Rican student mentioned the fact that teaching at BEU is not limited to theoretical knowledge. He added, “We also conduct practical classes in modern laboratories and apply what we learn in real conditions. This makes the learning process more interesting. The university is a great opportunity not only in the field of engineering, but also in terms of life experience. The international atmosphere here is good. I have already made friends from different countries and I am learning a lot about their national cultures.”.

Josh Jose Ceciliano Salazar emphasized that he enjoyed playing football, watching movies, and exploring Baku in his leisure time, characterizing the capital of Azerbaijan as a beautiful city that combines modernity with tradition.

The international student also pointed out that he was looking forward to what other opportunities he would encounter in the future at BEU, which had a great impact on his academic and personal development.
