A meeting has been held with the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
At the meeting aimed at discussing the possibilities of cooperation in the field of transport management between BEU and MDDT, rector Yagub Piriyev spoke about the close relations established with the ministry at a high level. Recalling the directions discussed in the meetings held at BEU with the Electronic Security Service under the RINN, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development under the ministry, the rector highly valued the support in the involvement and participation of the students and teaching staff of the higher education institution in various technological projects.
Touching upon the measures implemented in the country on transport management in recent times, Yagub Piriyev highlighted the importance of combining theoretical and practical knowledge in order to organize efficient and quality services in this field, as well as the possibility of cooperation between the ministry and the higher education institution in order to apply a successful scientific approach.
Aida Badalova, advisor to the minister of digital development and transport, secretary of the Transport Coordinating Council, emphasized that they attach great importance to the establishment and deepening of relations with the university in the mentioned direction. Speaking about the coordinated activity of the transport system, as well as the work done on the development of road and transport infrastructure, the official of the ministry said that a digital twin (a virtual image of an object or system designed to accurately reflect a physical object) has been prepared for the purpose of regulating the transport system.
At the meeting, which was attended by Vasif Amiraslanov, the head of the Department of Transport Regulation of the Ministry of Transport, and Rauf Safarov, the chief adviser of the department, a wide range of views were exchanged on specific areas of interest to the parties, and the initial directions of future cooperation were determined.
