A committee of foreign and local experts on the Twinning project has visited Baku Engineering University (BEU). The Commission organized meetings and interviews with the aim of accrediting the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Education at BEU.

    It should be noted that Department of Mathematics and Informatics of BEU joined the Twinning project “Support to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to further adherence of the higher education system to the European Higher Education Area” in February, 2019. The aim is to bring the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Education into line with the standards of the European Higher Education Standards.

    In accordance with the standard, employees of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics prepared analytical report both in Azerbaijani and English and presented it to experts. During the interview, the experts met with members of the analytical team members, as well as staff members of the Department, students, alumni, and heads of organizations that alumni worked for and answered their questions. Based on the results of the meetings and interviews, the teaching of the specialty and the work of the department were considered satisfactory.

    The experts reviewed the students' quarterly and final works (thesis), as well as examination materials.

    At the end, members of the commission got acquainted with auditoriums, lecture rooms, libraries and computer rooms.
