Atraba Gul, Chairwoman of the Women's Council of Baku Engineering University (BEU), has attended the presentation of a new resource “Curriculum on Gender Equality in the Civil Service” dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On State Guarantees of Equal Rights for Women and Men”.
The main role of women in determining the material and spiritual image of our society was emphasized at the event jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs (SCFWCA), the State Examination Center (SEC), Baku State University (BSU) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). The state policy founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev to ensure gender equality and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, and the work carried out in this direction were discussed in detail.
The event continued with presentations by the authors of the Curriculum.
At the end, the questions of the participants were answered and extensive discussions were held.
It should be noted that the Curriculum consists of 3 chapters: “Conceptual position”, “Objectives, principles and content of the curriculum”, “Performance evaluation in Civil Service” and “Recommendations on ensuring the implementation of the curriculum”. The resource is useful for civil servants, municipalities, students, teachers of relevant subjects, researchers, lawyers, and readers interested in gender issues in public administration in general.
