Students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) have taken part in a meeting with Absheron volunteers as part of the “International Volunteer Day” and “Azerbaijan Volunteer Week”. 

Speaking at the meeting, Irada Gulmammadova, head of the Absheron District Executive Power, said that the foundation of the widespread volunteer movement in Azerbaijan was laid by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and now this ideology is being successfully developed by President Ilham Aliyev. Emphasizing the matchless services of volunteers in all international events held in our country, as well as in the daily activities of government agencies, I. Gulmammadova noted that a large number of BEU students were among the volunteers.

Later, the volunteers who actively participated in the socio-political life of the region were awarded. BEU volunteers- Chair of NAP Youth Union Gunel Salahova, board members Ilgar Bashirov, Nurlan Najafli, Nigar Ibrahimova, Sertaj Jabbarli, Chair of BEU SYO Laman Sharifova and employee of BEU Public Relations Department Fuad Sharbatov were awarded honorary diploma.
