BEU students win first place in "Robotex" competition held in Türkiye

The “DeepSense” team, represented by students of the dual degree program (BEU-INHA DDP) between Baku Engineering University and INHA University of the Republic of Korea, has taken the first place in the “Robotex” stage held in Antalya, Türkiye.

The team, which included Nasib Ahmadov, a 3rd year student of the “Electrical Engineering” specialty (mentor), Tahira Baylarova, a 2nd year student of the “Electronics Engineering” specialty, and Yusif Novruzlu, a 2nd year student of the “Information Technologies” specialty, participated in the first round of the Azerbaijani stage of the competition (“Robotex International Azerbaijan 2025”) with the “Maze Robot” project. The robot developed within the project tries to complete the given labyrinth within 5 minutes, and also determines the optimal exit path through sensors and intelligent algorithms.

The team achieved great success in the “Labyrinth” category in the second stage of the competition with this project and won the right to participate in the finals scheduled to be held in Tallinn, Estonia in December of this year.
