Etibar Seyidzada, senior lecturer of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies of Baku Engineering University (BEU), has been elected a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional organization.

The BEU employee was presented with a certificate of membership signed by IEEE President Saifur Rahman.

Senior member is IEEE's highest professional rank. Only 10 percent of the organization's more than 400,000 members have reached this level. A candidate seeking to become a Senior Fellow of a global body must meet the requirements set by the IEEE and must also have at least ten years of professional experience and demonstrate significant productivity.
