Under the arrangement of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature at Baku Engineering University, seminar entitled “Social activities and critical views of Ahmed bey Agaoglu” has been held. 

Professor of the Department Akif Huseynli noted that the seminar was organized in accordance with Action Plan of the Ministry of Education in order to ensure the implementation of the measures arising from the Order signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Ahmad Bey Agaoglu”. He also spoke about the life and activities, scientific and political views of Ahmed bey Agaoglu.

Principal of the Secondary School No 175, Ph.D. in Philology Tural Mirzaliyev made a report on the social activities of writer, publicist, critic Ahmed bey Agaoglu, who played a significant role in the history of 20th-century Azerbaijani culture.

It was stated that the main themes of the writer's publicity were the attitude toward Islam, history, the problems of the alphabet and language, the women's rights, the attitude to emerged and emerging literature and other fields of culture. It was also noted that Ahmed bey Agaoglu was always at the forefront of the national struggle movement, and ideologies of peace and tranquility had a special place in all his writings. 

T.Mirzaliyev’s book entitled “Ahmed bey Agaoglu. Azerbaijan literary-public opinion towards Europe ” was presented.
