6 new specialties added to BEU's admission plan for this year

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has approved a plan for admission of students for bachelor's and master's degrees for the 2021/2022 academic year.

A total of 1,190 planned places were allocated for 30 specialties at the bachelor's degree of BEU. 690 of them are for the Azerbaijani section and 500 for the English section.

250 places in 18 specialties and 23 specializations were allocated in the master's degree of BEU. 215 of them fall to the Azerbaijani section and 35 to the English section.

BEU MBA program has 115 places in 6 specialties. 85 of them are for the Azerbaijani section and 30 for the English section.

A number of innovations are reflected in the admission plan for the next academic year. Student admission will be carried out on 6 new specialties - Computer Science (Bachelor’s degree), Master's degree - Cyber Security (SABAH), Electrical Engineering, Transportation and Management Engineering, Process Automation Engineering, Architecture.

Bachelor's degree programs in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology and Civil Engineering under the joint dual degree programs implemented by BEU and Inha University of the Republic of Korea last academic year will be continued in the new academic year and will be conducted on the basis of state order. Bachelor's degree programs in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, and Civil Engineering will be conducted jointly with Inha University of the Republic of Korea on the basis of a state order for dual degree programs. The second stage of the 2-stage exam (interview) will be conducted by Inha University (https://beu.edu.az/az/page/ikili-diplom-proqrami-185/).

At the bachelor's level, the competition in English-speaking specialties is held jointly in the Azerbaijani and Russian sections. There is no aptitude test for architecture and design.

Graduates of the bachelor's degree programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology and Systems Engineering, Information Technology and Systems Engineering are eligible to participate in the competition for admission to the master's degree in Cyber Security. Admission of candidates with higher passing scores to a higher education institution is carried out by the relevant educational institution on a competitive basis. The competition for this specialization is joint in the Azerbaijani and Russian sections. Teaching is in the Azerbaijani language. 100 places have been allocated for specialization, where the admission is carried out only on the basis of the state order.

It should be noted that last year's admission plan for the bachelor's degree also included new specialties - Information Security, Radio Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering, Transport Service (by mode of transport).
