Work of BEU on green economy presented at COP29

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been represented at the panel session titled “The Role of Innovative Environment and Green Technologies in Universities” within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). The session, which was held to expand green technologies in the academic field, was organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) on the “Science, Technology and Innovation/Digitalization Day”.

At the panel, BEU Technopark Director, Associate Professor Isa Gasimov spoke about the scientific relevance of climate change, research conducted in this field and proposed solutions, as well as innovative projects supporting the formation of a green economy at the university. It was noted that this year, more than 30% of the startup projects proposed or supported in various programs organized by BEU Technopark were aimed at the formation of a green economy.

The meeting also heard reports from representatives of IDDA and various universities, and extensive discussions were held.
