The winter examination session of the autumn semester continues at Baku Engineering University (BEU). 537 exams were organized at the session, which started on January 5. So far, a total of 4,730 undergraduate and graduate students have taken part in the exams.

The Appeals Commission was established to ensure transparency and objectivity in the assessment of students' knowledge, and promptly eliminate any negative situations that may arise. Thus, students have the opportunity to apply to the commission within a day after the exam.

The student's appeal is heard by the dean, the head of the department, the teacher who teaches the subject, as well as by another teacher who teaches the same subject with the participation of the chairman and members of the commission. Then the student's answer is read again, and the commission makes a relevant decision.

As of January 13, the Appeals Commission received a total of 67 appeals. Of these, 51 appeals were examined by the commission, and about 20 percent were resolved in favor of students.

It should be noted that 1273 exams are planned to be held during the exam session, which will last until February 1.
