Mais Shabanov, who graduated from the Baku Engineering University (BEU) "Computer Engineering" Department of Engineering Faculty, is the valedictorial of the university for 2024 with 97.8 points.

Graduating from secondary school No. 2 of Gakh district with a gold medal in 2020, M. Shabanov scored 659.7 points in the entrance exams held by the State Examination Center for higher education institutions. Taking into account the growing importance of the "Computer engineering" specialty at a time when information technologies are developing rapidly and becoming an integral part of our lives, he researched the universities that provide the best education in this field. Mais Shabanov chose BEU because of the opportunities created for teaching, the professionalism of the scientific and pedagogical staff, modern and quality education. 

During his higher education, M. Shabanov was chosen as the winner of the "Best Presentation" competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. He was one of the 100 recipients of the "Heydar Aliyev Scholarship" established by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. He has always been active in public affairs of the university. Working hard, studying all subjects in the same way, seriously and responsibly preparing for exams gave him the chance to become the university's valedictorian.

The graduate of BEU, who was successful in this year's master's exams, chose the specialty "Artificial Intelligence".

Grateful to his teachers who helped him learn the secrets of his specialty during his studies at BEU, and his parents who supported him every step of the way, M. Shabanov noted that he would continue to be exemplary in his higher education and use the knowledge and skills he gained in the path of the future development of Azerbaijan.
