BEU winning teams awarded

The "Incubation 1" program, organized within the framework of the Academic Entrepreneurship-Based Startup and Incubation Program (ASSIP) project, has ended. At the "Demoday 1" organized on this occasion, the MVPs (Minimum Viable Product) of 7 startups were presented. The startups were evaluated by a jury. 1st place winner “Green Guest” startup team of Baku Engineering University (BEU) students (Sharif Shiraliyev, Gurban Yusufov, Laman Omarova, Shahla Uralova, Aysun Eminli, Ilafer Azizli),  2nd place winner “Brain Battle” team (3rd year students of BEU-INHA DDP Hasan Badalli, Laman Ganjali, Farid Karimli, Amin Khalilzadeh and Gadir Rahmatov) and 3rd place winner “Bioplastik” team (Punhan Jamalov, Mahammad Guliyev, Mirsadiq Miriyev, Eltun Agabalayev, Orkhan Ahmadzadeh) were awarded 15,000, 12,000 and 9,000 manats, accordinglyThe awards are intended to develop startups.

Of note, within the framework of ASSIP, Training of Trainers (ToT1) was organized in October 2024 (with the participation of 35 teachers), and “Hakathon1” was organized on February 15-16, 2025. Out of the 22 startups presented at “Hakathon1”, the 10 most successful startups were involved in the “Incubation1” program. 7 of these startups (“EcoRadSo”, “Green Guest”, “BrainBattle”, “Bioplastic”, “EcoZIB”, “Whatshop” and “Zermy”) prepared MVPs and qualified for “Demoday”. Members of 7 startup teams were presented with certificates for graduating from the Incubation program.

Currently, preparations are underway for the 2nd ToT and 2nd Hackathon within the framework of ASSIP.

Implemented with the support of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and in partnership with the BEU Technopark, ASSIP is a project that aims to develop academic entrepreneurial skills, prepare teacher-mentors for the innovation ecosystem, and ultimately bring new startups to the market.
