Valedictorian of Baku Engineering University for 2023

Arzu Alkhanova, a final-year student of Physics Education Department (teaching English) of the Education Faculty of Baku Engineering University (BEU) was valedictorian of Baku Engineering University for 2023 with 99.17 points.

A. Alkhanova, who graduated from high school with honors, scored 611 points in the entrance exams to higher education institutions in the 2018/2019 academic year and preferred BEU in the choice of specialty.

Remembering the "Open Door" day, which played a role in her preference for BEU when she was still an applicant, A. Alkhanova noted that the different environment created for students at this higher education institution influenced her choice.

A. Alkhanova, who said that she did not compete for the university championship as a goal, sees this success as a reward for the hard work of her 4-year student years.

During her studies at the university, A. Alkhanova was not satisfied with being an active participant in the teaching process, but actively participated in both scientific-practical and social-social projects and events. BMU, who received the "Teacher of the Future" scholarship, first participated in the 6th and 7th international scientific conferences of young researchers, and was among the winners of the Republican Olympiad in the fields of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry within the "Science Festival" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev among university students.

Aiming to continue her education outside the country, A. Alkhanova has already been admitted to a prestigious higher education institution directly to the doctorate level with a full scholarship. She will study at North Carolina State University (North Carolina State University) in the field of physics. The annual scholarship from the mentioned university for the student is 55 thousand US dollars.

Expressing her endless thanks to her family and teachers who always supported her, A. Alkhanova said that she would continue to work hard and represent our country abroad.
