One of the new directions included in the master's level student admission plan of Baku Engineering University (BEU) for the academic year 2023/2024 is the specialty of Transportation Engineering and the specialization of construction of Bridges and transport facilities related to this field.
Transportation Engineering is an engineering field that provides knowledge and skills in the field of designing, implementing, and reconstructing projects related to transportation services for all types of transportation (land, air, water), pedestrian roads, crossings, and logistics purposes. The basis of the master's program in the construction of bridges and transport facilities is such subjects as automated design of transport facilities, design of bridge structures, inspection and evaluation of transport roads and facilities.
Transport is becoming a separate engineering industry in modern times. For this reason, the progress observed in the transportation sector is increasing the demand for transportation engineers in the labor market, and this growth is expected to continue in the coming years. However, transportation engineers are required to constantly develop their skills, taking into account the latest technological developments and changes in the legislative framework. Considering all this, specialization can be considered one of the promising areas for personnel who are able to adapt their knowledge and skills to the requirements of the time. The appropriate engineering training in this field at BEU will be carried out by the university's Faculty of Architecture and Construction.
From the next academic year, a number of new specialties and specializations at the master's level and MBA have been added to the admission plan of BEU. Such as Design, Mechanical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Transportation Engineering specialties, Design and technical aesthetics, Machine repair technology and servicing, Liquid and gas transportation equipment, Construction of highways and airfields, Construction of bridges and transport facilities at the master's level. student admission will be conducted.
As for the new specializations in the MBA program, 7 specializations have been added to the Business Management specialization. This includes specializations such as Agribusiness, International trade, Electronic management, Public relations, Financial engineering, Supply chain management, Engineering project management.
In total, 181 planned places have been allocated for 20 specializations and 29 specializations at the master's level of BEU. 151 of these places belong to Azerbaijan and 30 to the English section.
