Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a training on “Measures to combat human trafficking.”
The training, organized by BEU YAP Youth Union, was conducted by Araz Nurmammadov, a member of the Bar Association and the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Delivering a speech, A.Nurmammadov emphasized that the training was dedicated to a very important speech and there was a need to raise awareness in this area to protect against future threats.
He added that as a modern form of slavery, the victim of human trafficking, accompanied by human rights violations in the context of inhuman and negligent treatment, becomes the object of manipulation and is treated as a personal property. Speaking about the investigation of crimes related to human trafficking, A.Nurmammadov gave detailed information about the forms of human trafficking. He mentioned that at the choice of the victim the preference was given to those who were on the verge of mental as well as social collapse and who were in search of easy money.
The training continued with answering students' questions.
