Baku Engineering University has hosted the presentation of the project "Preparation of scientific-methodical teaching materials (print and online) for the specialty of information security" carried out by the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (AKTA) with the financial support of the Ministry of Science and Education.

Speaking at the event, the speakers gave detailed information about the importance of providing information security policy at the global level, the state policy in the field of information in the country, and the factors that determine the new approach to the specialty based on this policy. It was noted that, based on the project, educational materials were prepared on the basis of three subjects (legal aspects of information security and cyber security, web security and network security).

Cyber ​​space and law, sources of cyber law, critical information infrastructure (CIP), general and special requirements for CIP security, organization of activities on CIP security were touched upon in the speeches. At the same time, presentations were made on "Cybercrimes and the fight against them", "Personal data protection", "Web security and network security".

In the event, which continued in an interactive format with the audience, students characterized the main common and different features between the concepts of cybersecurity and information security. Moreover, the questions that interested them were clarified by AKTA employees.
