Baku Engineering University (BEU) has organized the next interactive training for the academic staff and university employees on "Creation of Elmmetric Bases and Profiles".
Emphasizing the positive aspects of organizing trainings on scientific topics, Agasi Malikov, Vice-rector for science and innovation issues of the university, expressed his confidence that such a series of events could be useful in the scientific activity of employees.
Touching on the subject of the training, the Vice-rector drew attention to important nuances such as the need to use global elmmetric databases, the evaluation of scientific activity based on elmmetric criteria, the importance of scientific articles being included in these databases for the author and the university he represented.
Delivering a presentation at the training, Mayis Azizov, head of the Department of Science and Innovation of BEU, gave detailed information about the rules of using sources such as "Scopus", the largest theses, citation and reference database of "Elsevier", "Web of Science" platform, indexing metadata for various publication formats, internet search engine "Google Scholar".
The trainer clarified on the basis of specific examples the provision of access to elmmetric databases, the creation and management of profiles in academic social networks, and also answered the questions of the participants on the topic.
The event ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to the trainer.
