The number of young lecturers increases at BEU

 

February 2 is the Azerbaijani Youth Day. Marking this date as the Azerbaijani Youth Day is by the initiative of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. February 2 has been celebrated as the Youth Day in Azerbaijan since 1997 by the Decree signed by the Great Leader. The state youth policy founded by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev has yielded fruitful results for the future development of Azerbaijani youth.

In the frame of this policy constant work is implemented at BEU in the direction of raising the youth in the spirit of patriotism, inflicting them with high moral values and bringing them up as proper individuals for the society.  Moreover, consistent efforts are being made to promote young cadres.

Currently, most of the employees are young people at BEU. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of young lecturers engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at the University. The number of university lecturers under the age of 40 has increased from 112 to 163 (a 45.5 percent increase) in contrary to the same period in 2018. The average age for the University academic staff is 42.

BEU is one of the leading universities in our country due to the number of student clubs and the diversity of student activities.  There are about 50 student clubs at the University and their socialization is provided. The University also has four student organizations: Student Trade Union Committee, Student Youth Organization, Student Scientific Society, NAP Youth Organization.
