Baku Engineering University (BEU) has achieved high rates of undergraduate student enrollment for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is another clear indicator of BEU's successful activities in the past two years in the direction of quality education, adaptation of the educational process to international standards, modern infrastructure, personnel training in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, and generally future-oriented reforms. Moreover, innovative innovations implemented at the university, including dual diploma programs, digital learning platforms, modern laboratories, and startup-oriented initiatives, played an important role in choosing BEU.
Despite the increase in the number of specialties from 36 to 39 in this year's admission plan to the university and the increase in the allocated plan places, the undergraduate enrollment rate was 96 percent, including 100 percent in groups IV and V, 100 percent in group II, and 92.86 percent in group I. 56.92 percent of applicants who choose a higher education institution will receive education on a state order.
After the first stage, a total of 2,468 people were admitted to the university in 39 specialties, which is another first in the history of BEU.
Furthermore, the number of high-scoring applicants who preferred BEU has almost doubled compared to last year. 395 of those admitted scored above 500, and 53 scored between 600-700 points. The specialties chosen by the high-scoring applicants were mainly information technology, information security, computer engineering, computer science, chemical engineering, data analytics, electrical and electronics engineering, as well as mathematics, finance, chemistry, biotechnology, business administration, industrial engineering, and civil engineering. The applicant who was admitted to BMU with the highest score chose the specialty "Information Technologies" (English department).
Those admitted to higher education institutions must register electronically via the portal.edu.az website from August 28 to September 6 (until 18:00). From August 28 to September 2, the selection of specialties will be carried out for the remaining places in the plan.
