The Korean language and culture to be taught at BEU

The project to establish Khirdalan branch of King Sejong Institute under Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been accepted by King Sejong Institute Foundation. In accordance with the purpose of the project, Korean language and culture will be taught by Korean teachers at the Khirdalan branch of King Sejong Institute, which will be established under BEU.

Moreover, BEU and Inha University of South Korea signed a cooperation agreement on the implementation of a dual degree program within the "State Program on increasing the international competitiveness of the higher education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023". The agreement also envisaged the implementation of a dual degree program in Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering Departments at the bachelor's degree from the new academic year. According to the program, students will study for 3 academic years at BEU and 1 academic year at Inha University. Students enrolled in the program will be taught in English and the program will be fully funded by the state. Moreover, students studying in the dual degree program will be taught Korean by Korean lecturers at Khirdalan branch of King Sejong Institute, which will operate under BEU. This will allow future graduates to continue their education in many South Korean universities on scholarships in master's and doctoral programs.

In the future, BEU will work in the direction of conducting various international projects, joint research and preparation of scientific articles with Inha University.
