The first Korean speech contest held at BEU

Baku Engineering University (BEU) International Relations and Project Management Department and Xırdalan King Sejong Institute have jointly organized the 1st Korean speech contest.

The purpose of the competition, which take place within the BEU-INHA dual degree program, was to teach the Korean language to students studying under the program and listeners of the Xırdalan King Sejong Institute.

Hyunjin Yang, INHA Project Director of BEU-INHA DDP, and Sevinj Isgandarov, senior specialist of the Dual Degree Program, spoke about the works carried out within the program. Expressing satisfaction with the support provided by the Xırdalan King Sejong Institute to students and listeners, the speakers wished success to the participants.

The speeches of 28 students and listeners on various topics were listened to in the competition, and the names of the winners were announced by the jury. The winners of the first place were Aysun Huseynova, a first-year student of BEU, Sevinj Mammadova, a second-year student of BEU, and Aynur Sadigov, a listener of the Xırdalan King Sejong Institute.

The winners were awarded by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Azerbaijan and the Institute.

Lottery numbers were presented to the participants at the event. The winners of the lottery were given gifts, as well as coupons to visit the Korean Cultural Centre.

At the end of the competition, the participants were presented dishes of Korean national cuisine.
