The article of assoc.prof. Ravan Rahimov and assoc.prof. Yusif Abdullayev, the lecturers of Chemical Engineering Department, has been published in Journal of Molecular Liquids.

The article, published in the prestigious journal with an impact factor of 4.561, is about “Aggregation and antimicrobial properties of gemini surfactants with mono- and Di- (2-Hydroxypropyl) ammonium Head-Group: Effects on the spacer length and computational studies”.

The authors synthesized 8 new substances in the article. These substances are called surface-active substances. Their structures were confirmed by various physical and chemical methods. The surface activity of surface-active substances was determined through the tensiomeric method, while their dissociation rates through  conductometric method.

          It should be noted that according to the average number of citations of the Web of Science impact factor publications, BEU is ranked in the top ten for higher education institutuons in Azerbaijan, and in the top three for the social sciences. Articles were published in the Web of Science platform at the University accordingly as 8 articles in 2017, 18 articles in 2018, 30 articles in the 1st half of 2019 that make 56 publications and 57 citings on them totally.
