The article co-authored by PhD. in Economics Shahriyar Mukhtarov, Head of World Economy Department at Baku Engineering University (BEU), has been published in the “Energies” journal. The journal is indexed in reputable databases such as Web of Science (impact factor: 2.7) and Scopus (impact factor: 3.8). 

In the article “Gasoline Demand Elasticities at the Backdrop of Lower Oil Prices: Fuel-Subsidizing Country Case”, the price and income elasticity of gasoline demand in the example of the Azerbaijani economy were analyzed through TVC and the STSM (Structural time series modeling) methods using statistics for 2002-2018. Based on the results of the study, a number of new proposals were made.
