Mahammadali Guliyev, 2nd year student of Urban Planning Department of Architecture and Construction Faculty has attended the interregional tournament on free-style wrestling held in Babayurt district of the Republic of Dagestan. At the tournament dedicated to the memory of the military and political figure Sheikh Sultan Mutan, BEU student won the first place in the 65 kg weight category and was awarded a diploma and gold medal.

The tournament among youth from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Russia, Armenia and other countries lasted 2 days and a total of 5 competitions were held. Having defeated his Armenian rival with a score of 10:0, Mahammadali Guliyev was qualified for the final round.

It should be noted that BEU student won various local and international competitions in acrobatics, including freestyle wrestling.
