Teaching process at Baku Engineering University extended

According to the relevant letter of the Ministry of Education, the time of the teaching and educational process at Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been extended.

It should be noted that according to the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers, in order to prevent the threat of coronavirus (COVID - 19) infection in Azerbaijan, continue medical-prophylactic, disinfectant and other preventive measures in all educational institutions in the country, the studies, the educational process have been suspended in all educational institutions and all related activities have been postponed from March 10 to 20, 2020.  Taking this into account, the Ministry of Education also sent letters to the heads of higher education institutions to ensure the implementation of educational programs.

According to the letter, with the exception of last year students at BEU, classes for other students will last until June 15, not May 30, as determined by the current academic calendar. The number of weeks allocated for the exam session is set at 4 weeks instead of 5 and will be held from June 15 to July 13.

Taking into account the fact that the last year students completed their education and are currently in internship, the schedule of the last year students in the relevant specialties (except for the specialties included in the group of "Education" specialties (pedagogical specialties)) would not change, and the state attestation would be held until the end of June. The internship of students in pedagogical specialties (as the internship is conducted in secondary schools and classes last until June 15) will continue until June 15, and the state attestation exam will be held from June 15 to July 13.
