Baku Engineering University's (BEU) enrollment plan for the 2020/2021 academic year includes a number of new specialties. Among them is the specialty of transport service (by mode of transport). - Mr. Rauf, what is the need to add the specialty of transport service (by type of transport) to the admission plan?

Azerbaijan is an important transit country due to its geopolitical and geographical position, through which the North-South and East-West international transport corridors pass. This makes Azerbaijan a very attractive and important country in Europe-Caucasus-Asia transit. Intensive development of international economic relations and trade in Azerbaijan requires more efficient organization of the transport process.

Transport service is the provision of high quality services to passengers, consignors, consignees, including the provision of transportation, the provision of complex services and the performance of additional work. One of the first and most important tasks to achieve this goal is to train professional transport personnel who meet international standards. These personnel should be trained in higher education institutions that meet modern requirements, and BEU is such a higher education institution. Therefore, it is necessary to include the specialty of service in transport (by mode of transport) in the bachelor's admission plan of BMU.
