The exam session of the spring semester of the 2019/2020 academic year has successfully completed at Baku Engineering University (BEU). Students took a total of 1,016 exams in an online exam session. Thus, 623 (61%) exams were organized in the form of frontal inquiries, while 393 (39%) exams in the form of tests.
Transparency, impartiality and objectivity in the assessment of students' knowledge were fully ensured, and the necessary technical measures were applied at a high level. Upon completion of the exams, both in the form of tests and frontal questionnaires, the student's grade was announced and all exam results were posted at the University's electronic system within 24 hours at the latest.
An online appeal was organized at BEU to promptly investigate the appeals of students who were dissatisfied with the results of the exam.
It should be noted that the University administration was established rules for the benefit of students in connection with the examination session and assessment of knowledge in the spring semester of the current academic year. Thus, during the exam, the students' intra-semester performance grades were accepted as the exam grades with their consent. Moreover, students who met all the requirements of the curriculum at the undergraduate level, as well as successfully passed the current certification, were considered to have passed the final certification in accordance with the results obtained during their studies. The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the payment of tuition fees for students who were members of families belonging to socially vulnerable groups was also highly appreciated by the students.
