Seminar on "Sustainable Finance" held at BEU

A seminar on "Sustainable Finance" has been organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Science of Baku Engineering University (BEU).  

The event was moderated by the head of the Finance Department, PhD. in Economics Fuzuli Aliyev.

Elshan Rustamov, an international consultant-expert in the field of sustainable finance, made a presentation on "Sustainable Finance". He briefed the participants on sustainable development - the limitations and opportunities, as well as the goals of the firms. Touching on ethical business theories, the expert spoke about Stock theory (Friedman), Stakeholder Theory (Edward Freeman) and Stakeholder Contract Theory (Hypothetical Contract).

In his presentation, E.Rustamov also highlighted important issues such as the concept for sustainable finance, sustainable finance and target projection, the basic principles of sustainable banking, the transition process of banks to sustainability, tools for sustainability and accountability, cooperation for sustainability.

At the end, discussions were held on the topic and questions were answered.
