Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a promotional event for first-year students of the Student Scientific Society (SSC).

SSS chair Sahila Nematli made a presentation on the activities of the society. She said that SSS was a student organization established to implement projects, seminars, scientific festivals, competitions, as well as to coordinate research and scientific-practical work of students. Touching upon the important measures taken by the society so far, S.Nematli stressed the tasks ahead of SSS. Chair of society added that activities would be further strengthened to involve students in research activities as well as in the work carried out in enterprises, including students' scientific centers, technoparks, idea incubators and promote various forms of scientific creativity.

Bahman Mammadov (Qudsi), a senior lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics at BEU, as well as the scientific head of SSS, made a speech on "Backgrounds and Figures" at the seminar held within the event. He noted student leadership and the points that need to be considered. Moreover, B.Mammadov provided students with interesting information about successful people in science and other fields, and gave recommendations to increase their interest in science.
