An interactive seminar on "Agile/Scrum" has been organized jointly with ATL Academy for students studying in the field of information technologies (IT) at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Speaking at the event, acting dean of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies of the University, Professor Vagif Gasimov evaluated the recent meeting of students with various IT companies as a positive thing. Noting that such trainings are always needed in terms of the formation of IT-educated young people as good specialists, professor expressed his confidence that ATL Academy's seminars on current topics will be useful for students.
Later, at the event, information was given about ATL Academy. It was added that the main mission of the educational institution is to provide services to businesses and individuals who understand the role of professionals with programming and IT knowledge for effective development.
Afterwards, Aytac Muzaffarova, a graduate of the academy and an expert of the International Bank, gave a presentation on the management of IT projects. Emphasizing that the process of creating IT products, the bank employee spoke in detail about "Agile" (flexible project management philosophy) and explained its similarities and differences with "Scrum" (a specific project management methodology). Saying that "Agile" is based on 4 values and 12 principles, A. Muzaffarova gave detailed information about the essence and role of each of them.
At the end of the seminar, students' questions were answered.
