Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted the semifinal round of the "Republican Subject Olympiad" in Informatics for the lower age group. 82 students (9th grade) from secondary schools took part in the competition.

The competition was held online in accordance with the rules of the IOI (International Olympiad in Informatics). Students were instructed to solve 5 algorithmic problems in 4 hours, develop a program and test it with an automatic grading system.

It should be noted that 77 students in the upper age group (grades X and XI) competed at the same time at ADA University.
