The selection round of the "Artistic Creativity Competition - Festival of Students of Higher Education Institutions" organized by the Ministry of Science and Education and the Republican Committee of Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union Republican Committee has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU). 

The selection round was led by Zamina Akhundova, head of the Department of Artistic Creativity of BEU, PhD in Art History, and was attended by Mahammad Salamov (Business Management - 1st year), Turan Javadzade (Civil Engineering - 1st year), Bahar Tagizada (Design - 1st year), Boyukkhanim Ibrahimova (Information Technology - 3rd year), Vusal Nabili (Business Management - 3rd year), Guler Hamzayeva (Information Technology - 3rd year), Gunay Nuriyeva (Electrical and Electronics Engineering - 3rd year), Aysu Jabrayilova (Urban Planning - 3rd year), Nazrin Osmanova (Chemical Engineering - 4th year), as well as the university's dance collective (artistic director Sabina Musayeva). 

The members of the jury, People's Artist Gulyanag Mammadova, teacher of the national dance teaching methodology of the Baku Choreography Academy, Honored Artist Elchin Allahverdiyev, Honored Art Worker Baba Veziroglu, listened to the students' performances and evaluated their performances.

The purpose of the competition-festival, which is traditionally held every year, is to educate young people in the spirit of respect for our culture, art, and national customs and traditions, raise their artistic and aesthetic level, as well as to reveal their talents and support the development of their creative abilities.

The competition-festival is organized in various nominations, and students who successfully pass all stages gain the right to participate in the final concert.
