Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a selection round for the Azerbaijani national team of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) organized by the Ministry of Education. 29 students from secondary schools took part in the competition, which was organized in accordance with the existing rules of the pandemic.

The competition consisted of 2 rounds based on IOI rules. Students were instructed to solve 3 algorithmic problems in 5 hours in each round (program development) and test them with an automatic assessment system.

According to the final assessment, the 4 students with the best results will represent Azerbaijan at the 33rd International Informatics Olympiad, which will be held online in Singapore on June 19-25.
