Selcuk Bayraktar, technical director of the Turkish "Baykar" company, got acquainted with the project of the "RED X" team of Baku Engineering University (BEU) students, who qualified for the final stage of the "TEKNOFEST-2023" Aerospace and Technology Festival. Selchuk Bayraktar emphasized that the BU team was the only Azerbaijani team participating in the exhibition with the military-purpose "UAV-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle" project and wished the students success in their future activities.

President of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK), Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal also got acquainted with the project of the BEU team. The students gave detailed information about the project to the head of TUBITAK. Hasan Mandal signed the PUA project of the BEU team and had a sincere conversation with the students.

BEU "RED X" team of students is represented at "TEKNOFEST-2023" in Türkiye with a fixed-wing, simple and ergonomic UAV capable of carrying medical supplies for military purposes, serving as a courier and showing its usefulness in similar places.

The UAV created by BEU students will be exhibited at the festival to be held in Istanbul from April 27 to May 1 after trial runs in Bursa.

Of note, the BEU team of students won the first place in the category of Robotics at the "TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan" festival held in Baku in May 2022. The award was presented to the BEU team during the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the festival.

The BEU team also participated in the Aerospace and Technology Festival ("TEKNOFEST-2022 Black Sea") held in Samsun, Türkiye.
